Each year, Human Support Services (HSS) provides life-changing support to more than 1,800 individuals in our community. Through mental health counseling, substance use services, and programs that empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental illness, individuals can live independently, find meaningful employment, and build fulfilling lives.On June 13, 2025, HSS will host its annual Shine Your Light Gala — a night of joy, inspiration, and community — at The Falls Reception & Conference Center in Columbia. The evening will feature dinner, fellowship, and exciting live and silent auctions, all to support their mission of breaking cycles of poverty, fostering independence, and creating opportunities for belonging.
